Opera Kansas will premiere Staggerwing, a new opera by Lisa DeSpain and me, next year. Instead of an opening night this weekend as originally scheduled, the company is hosting a virtual celebration of the Zepick Modern Opera commissioning initiative with winners past and present. The evening will include a preview performance of an aria from our opera.
